Today you walk across that stage and I am so freaking proud of you. You’re a wonderful mom, a beautiful girlfriend, a smart woman, and one of my closest friends. I love you to the moon and back. When I first met you in Killian’s class I knew you were something special. Over the years I’ve got to get close with you and tell you all my problems and you always have the best advice. I admire you and thank you for always being you.
From your very first step on to campus, you made it.
From the day you got your acceptance letter, you made it.
From your first test you made it.
From the long work days then going to class, you made it.
From year one to this moment right now, you have made it.
Through all the laughs, the tears, the late nights, the coffee cups, the pain, the questions, the searching, the glasses of wine, the discovering, and the rising above the odds, you have made it.
All of your time and energy has paid off. You are getting your diploma. You are achieving one dream, and moving on to the next. You are graduating. You have made it.
Enjoy this day, Siria. May your graduation day be filled with love and happiness, and here’s to the bright future that lies ahead.
Sam Houston was a huge journey for you and with that being said…. Thank U, next.
Love always and forever
